Tattoo

After this strenuous weekend, I felt i needed to feel some sort of physical pain to just vent out my frustrations. And on Sunday, after work, i headed out to the city to get a new tattoo. I knew what i wanted and where i just needed a sketch and some prices but plans went astray and i ended up waiting to get tatted here in Jersey at Lucky's in Union City. So i waited until Monday and that place was closed, wtf. And tuesday, even though many friends wanted to go with me, its as if it was a reminder of the true people in my life and Dominick was there with me. And this tattoo means soooo much to me for so many family reasons. Now more than ever and i do consider Dominick family. My mom even calls him her son and he calls her Mom. That's my fuckin' dude..and his birthday's coming up on the 24th. He's guna be 21!!! Can't wait..

And at the end of it all it was

La-La-Love

Lykke Li ft/ Drake - A little Bit
That's the original song that these two creative people so pleasantly covered. Joyce and Ariel are their names. But, peep homeboy playing the ukelele! No one ever uses that instrument and it sounds ever-so lovely. Also, no homo but how CUTE is shorty? She's Black & Japanese and real pretty. I'm getting a very Angela-Simmons vibe from her tho, no? Her voice is really nice especially that "In la-la-la-la-love with me" hook .. real smooth. I dig it. Hope you do, too =]

Freestyle

But why did i find the lyrics tho? LMAO she does have the swag when she rhymes tho, i will give her that.
and the last line dique, "the Taco Bell girl just OWNED you" .....yes, she did.

Here you go:

Don't wanna spend dollars, just cents every time,
We want grilled chicken for only eighty-nine,
Cuz its tasty, so cheap, packed to last
I know I'm talkin fast, did ya get all that?

Hold on son, let's repeat it back.
I can hear you rap, but you rap like a hack,
Here we go, watch me flow,
89 cent grilled chicken burrito,
it's chickalicious, every bite,
(smash it when we in a fight)
price so light, when yo wallet kinda tight.
You wanna keep it goin'?
I'll battle all night

Your Cocoa Skin

(lol @ the title of this post)
So, my similar sister Frances posted this adorable and smooth poem on her mightyfranso.blogspot.com website and i honestly think its one of the most genuine things i've read in a while. And of course, felt that something so cool had to be passed along. So i hope yall enjoy this because i definitely do =]

She's never late
& her idea of where we should go
what we should do
& who we should be is the equivalent of mine.

The stillness of the garden
allows me to peel back that tense layer of confusion
most guys steer away from or don't bother to notice.

I don't like girls- but she's always been my type.

She presses her nose to a flower
& I'm heady with scents
that have yet to be contained in a glass or plastic container.

We've been here before
this comfortable place
but there's something new about it all.

Could it be how she looks the same but feels different?

Maybe it's the way she smiles to herself
& I smile back
hoping she sees me thinking the same thought
deciphering the same riddles.

Or maybe it's the way she doesn't even have to hold my hand
to make me feel wanted.

No, it's the way she mumbles random lyrics
to the same song blasting in my head.

She looks at me & laughs
& in making her f eel good
I find what no boy has been able to give me.

She's a girl- yes
& I catch people staring
so I check our reflection
& my infatuation grows tenfold.

Our image might confuse another
but it's the clearest of photos.

I'm the only one standing there
& it's the way it's always been

I've spent the day with myself.
My date was me.

=)

Hangover

"The Hangover" was hilariousssssss. In this picture it pretty shows the main characters minus Doug, who's just a small role when you think about it. But from left to right is Allen, Carlos/Tyler (lmao), Phil, and Stu with the missing tooth.

But let's talk about Bradley-fuckin'-Cooper. aka Phil. He is a gorgeous specimen of a man that i kept gawking at throughout the movie. I mean, in everything he's in ..he leaves an impression. and that's just his acting skills. Normally he plays the clean-cut, all American guy in the movies like he did in Wedding Crashers and He's Just Not That Into You but here he played the ruggedly handsome manipulative swag-filled school teacher with the slick back hair who i would have given the business too had he been standing in front of me. True story ...and so, for your viewing pleasure ..or MY viewing pleasure. however way you look at it:

But this movie had several stars. The guy who plays Allen, his name is Zach F something or another..hilarious. His character was sooo ..special and random and perfect for this movie. Even Stu's character as my friends called him the Grown up version of McLovin' had his hilarious moments. Like when he sang that song on the piano as the tiger's lullaby, lmao perfection. I definitely recommend this movie to everyone and would SO see it again.

Countdown

While I will continue to blog on a regular basis I will now begin to insert the days left until my ever-awaited birthday at the bottom of aformentioned blog posts. This will be the directional blog, if you will, that will direct you to said countdown.

The days --as you all seem so enthusiastic about this--will be at the bottom of the blog. This will help you plan out your month so you know exactly what gift to get me. I will be waiting patiently. .

June

Welcome.

It's getting closer and closer to my birthday which I'm happy about but, this month has started off a bit rocky and a little shaky so let's hope it shapes up before we get to the nitty-gritty.

This might come across as random but, right now I honestly just want to SCREAM.
I feel like there's so much I want to vent and say but with no idea on how to express it. Whatever, this month better not let me down because I have really high hopes for it.
